Iowans Will Picket Raytheon Subsidiary, Collins Aerospace for Profiting off of Israeli War Crimes and Genocide against Palestine
On Friday, November 17th, local organizations are calling Iowans to join a picket line to shut down Raytheon Subsidiary, Collins Aerospace.
Raytheon Technologies aka RTX is the second largest military company in the world and largest genocide profiteer in Iowa. In 2021, it made $1.1 billion dollars in defense contracts in the state of Iowa through its Iowa-based subsidiary, Collins Aerospace. The company has plants across Iowa which produce parts for the F-15, F-16, F35 fighter jets, and Apache helicopters used by the IOF air force to commit genocide in Gaza.
RTX CEO Gregory Hayes bragged in a recent earnings call about his company benefiting from the U.S.-Israeli bombing of Gaza. “As we think about this next tranche, the president’s $100-plus billion request, which is more than $40 billion for Ukraine, what you’re going to see is the same things that we have been seeing, but in much higher quantities. I think, really, across the entire Raytheon portfolio, you’re going to see a benefit of this restocking, on top of what we think is going to be an increase in the DOD top line.” - Gregory Hayes
